James Longshore is an award-winning actor, author, creator and comedian. Born on the gritty streets of New York City and raised on stage.
Films in which James appeared have screened at the holy trifecta of Berlin, Cannes and Venice Film Festivals and won awards there. He has acted opposite Oscar nominees John Malkovich and Ms. Fantastic herself, Vanessa Kirby.
James won ‘Best Neo-Noir Actor’ for ‘Trip in Paris’ at LANEFF in 2019 and was awarded 3rd place in the World Monologue Games in 2020. He was the first American actor to perform in the Romanian language on network television. He also started the first English-language American acting program in Romania.
Mr. Longshore’s writing credits include English screenplay revisions for the Netflix live-action adaptation of the legendary Sergio Bonelli series ‘Dampyr” and the 420 flavored Far Side comic strip ‘The High’R Side’ for Cannapages.
As a comedian, James has performed on stages all around Europe, including Berlin, Bucharest, Copenhagen and London.
Mr. Longshore’s first novella, ‘Stage Fright’, about an American actor pursuing a stand-up career in English in Romania, will be released this fall by Editura Creative. He will next be seen on screens in ‘The Yellow Tie’ with Malkovich and as ‘Angel’ in the German film ‘Angel’s Destiny’.
